Mac Instigator Lipstick

I'll be honest. When I ordered the Punk Couture lipsticks I had no intention of using them too often. Download windows media player for mac os. They're so bold and vampy! But I find myself wearing these lippies a lot lately. Especially Instigator!

1. Mac Matte Lipstick Colors

Instigator is a deep blackened plum with a matte finish. It goes on very smoothly but not evenly. I have the same patchy application issues with Instigator as I had with Talk That Talk. It applies evenly on my top lip but gets extremely patchy towards the center of my bottom lip even after exfoliating and MAC Prep+Prime lip primer. However, Instigator is much creamier than Talk That Talk so it gets better after a few swipes back and forth. It's definitely not a lipstick you want to apply without a mirror though.

It can work well for parties if you want to have that punk look and the days when you don't want to care what others think and just wear this shade and feel confident. This lipstick belongs to my sister and I just borrowed it so I can review it and share to you my lovely readers.

I'm not sure if MAC has changed the matte formula lately but it's been feeling really good lately! Instigator is creamy and has a tiny hint of sheen but still looks matte. It's very comfortable to wear and lasts for over 5 hours. Once it fades it leaves behind a stain that can easily be touched up with gloss. Instigator looks great alone but because of the patchiness I would recommend a lip liner.
